Infrastructure for network resilience

Public data in atproto lives on Personal Data Servers (PDS), which can sometimes crash, have networking issues, or be unavailable for other reasons.

Hubble synchronizes an authenticated copy of data repositories in the atmosphere, so you can recover your content even if your PDS loses it. Authenticated Transfer (the AT in AT Protocol) ensures accurate replication on Hubble, and prevents Hubble itself from tampering.

Hubble is a new project from microcosm and Bluesky, deploying by end of June.
